Co-Editor

Steve was raised in South Dakota, Steve Webb has a BA from the University of Minnesota and an MA from University of Southern California. In the past, he has written for such diverse outlets as Film History magazine, Encyclopedia Britannica, and the A&E television series Biography. In addition, Mr. Webb is the author of two textbooks for English learners and two novels for young adult readers.

A lifelong baseball fan, Webb has been going to Dodger games since he moved to Los Angeles in 1987. His favorite memory was sitting in an apartment in October 1988 when Gibby went yard against Eckersley in the World Series. Which came about ten minutes after he declared “this game is over!” Hopefully, his baseball acumen has improved since then. He has been writing for Dodgersbeat since 2020.

Anthony is a History major at Cal State Long Beach and an aspiring sports journalist passionate about baseball and storytelling. I currently cover the Los Angeles Dodgers for DodgersBeat. Growing up in Los Angeles, I’ve been a Dodgers fan since childhood, and that lifelong connection fuels my drive to tell meaningful stories about the team and the game.

With a foundation in historical research and narrative writing, I bring a unique lens to sports coverage that values context, nuance, and the larger cultural impact of baseball in Los Angeles. Whether recapping a game or writing a feature, I aim to inform, connect, and reflect the spirit of the sport I grew up loving.
