Clayton Kershaw made his first and what may also be his last rehab start with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes tonight. Kershaw was scheduled to pitch 3 innings 45-50 pitches. His final line was 3 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 5 Ks, 34 pitches. After his 3 innings Kershaw went to the bullpen to close out his pitch count.
After his start Clayton Kershaw spoke to the media which you can see in the video below. Kershaw was asked if he would have another rehab start which he answered with “I think I’m pitching in 4 or 5 days”. It remains to be see where he will pitch but if all goes well his next start may be in Miami next Friday night.

Clayton Kershaw last pitched on June 26th with the Dodgers going 33-23. The Dodgers lead the NL West by a full 2 games over the San Francisco Giants with 27 games remaining. The final month looks like it is going to be an exciting one.
