Breaking News: Dodgers Reliever Michael Grove out for the season.

It’s been almost a week since Los Angeles Dodgers Manager Dave Roberts commented on Michael Grove. “He’s working through some things. Yeah, I don’t see any world where he’s ready for Opening Day,” Roberts said on Tuesday. “He’s got to build up. Yeah, he’s behind. He’s behind.”

Last season Grove was replaced by Ben Casparius because of a right shoulder injury. At the time of his injury, Dave Roberts commented “There’s a shoulder thing that he’s been dealing with for quite some time. And so the recovery is not good. Inflammation, probably more to that,” Roberts said at the time.

Today it was reported by Fabian Ardaya that Grove was in the clubhouse wearing a sling and had shoulder surgery. Grove will miss the 2025 season and will leave another spot open for the opening day roster.
