Breaking News: Dodgers DFA Chris Taylor

The first reports came out this morning when Fabian Ardaya posted Chris Taylor no longer had a locker. Then it became official. Longtime Dodger Chris Taylor was designated for assignment before Sunday’s game with the Angels.

Dodgers made official that the team did release him. No other details followed. Taylor had over 1,000 games with the team, Walk-off home run in the Wild Card game, and Co-NLCS MVP in 2017.

Taylor was the longest tenured position player on the roster after Austin Barnes was released. Now those honors go to Max Muncy. It is clear, the front office wants to build a team that has the high possibility to go back-to-back World Series Championships.

Thank you for all the memories CT3 and good luck in your next adventure.
