WASHINGTON D.C. —The Los Angeles Dodgers received a bit of a blow on Sunday as Blake Snell was officially placed on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to April 3. After his bullpen, Snell reported shoulder soreness, and the Dodgers immediately put him on the 15-day IL.

The team announced today that Snell will meet with Dr. ElAttrache while the team attended their White House visit.

Per Fabian Ardaya, Blake Snell said “he’s been pitching through soreness in his left shoulder for three weeks. Thought he could get to the other side of it but couldn’t finish his bullpen yesterday“. Snell thinks it could be a short stint on the IL, but nothing has been announced.

Dodgers head coach Dave Roberts said today, “I think everything is in play right now, including an injection”.

Snell had an MRI yesterday; the results showed inflammation in his pitching shoulder but did not detect any structural damage.
