For the second consecutive year, the Dodgers made it to the World Series but failed to secure a championship, this time falling to the dominate Boston Red Sox in five games. The Dodgers have now lost back to back World Series Championships, joining the ranks of other unfortunates such as the 1991/1992 Braves and more recently 2010/2011 Texas Rangers.
The Dodgers last lost back-to-back championships in 1977/1978.
As for 2018, you all watched it, so there’s no need to recap the painful loss.
Many questions remain for the winter meetings and season ahead. Will Clayton Kershaw opt out? Will Dave Roberts be offered a long-term extension? Can L.A. put the pieces in place to make 2019 the year?
It won’t be long until pitchers and catchers report.
In the meantime, we’ll keep you up to date here as the Dodgers make their off-season moves. It’s been a ride – see you all in 2019.
