Dodgers Fan Fest 2017
The 2017 edition of the Los Angeles Dodgers Fan Fest was a blast.
Parking wasn’t an issue at Dodger Stadium. We pulled up to the stadium around 920am and walked into the right field line. This year they had a dedicated line for VIP Experiences and 10:10am autograph sessions. If you don’t know about the autograph sessions, they normally sell out the week before, with different time slots allocated for various players. Compared to last year, I only purchased two autograph lines for 10:10am-11:00am (Rich Hill, Trayce Thompson) and 11:10am-12:00pm (Julio Urias/Kyle Farmer). The Dodgers hired an outside company to manage the autograph lines and they did a good job, considering the amount of people that were going back and forth.
As usual, the Dodgers foundation had their mystery bag sale, with autographed baseballs going for $40. This year did not have as many rare gems in the prize pool, such as Vin Scully, Fernando Valenzuela, etc.
On the field were numerous activities for children and adults. The lines however, were long and the wait time was at least 30 minutes plus.
Sponsors such as Calpico, Coca-Cola, Hi-Chew were giving away free samples.
