Dodgers Farm: Alex Freeland Powers Comets to 11-9 Victory in Vegas

Dodgers prospect Alex Freeland delivered a standout performance on Tuesday night, going three-for-five with two home runs to lead the Oklahoma City Comets to an 11-9 win over the Las Vegas Aviators.

Freeland, a 2022 third-round pick out of UCF, showed off his power with a pair of deep shots, driving in key runs that helped the Comets outlast a late push from Las Vegas. The infielder is now hitting .272 on the season with an on-base percentage of .374 and a slugging percentage of .451. He has six home runs and 40 runs batted in through his first few months at Triple-A.

This recent surge at the plate could signal bigger things ahead for Freeland, who continues to make a strong case for a call-up. With the Dodgers keeping a close eye on their rising prospects, performances like this put Freeland firmly on the radar.
