Sugar Land, TX— After taking a comebacker to the head from former teammate Michael Busch in this year’s spring training. Bobby Miller took the mound for Oklahoma City Comets against the 2024 Triple-A National Champs Sugarland Space Cowboys.
Miller, who struggled in 2024 with the Dodgers, ended his season in the minors to work on his mechanics. He came into spring training looking good until Michael Busch hit a 100+ mph ball up the middle that struck Miller in the forehead. He was put on concussion protocol and missed the rest of spring training.
Bobby Miller came into today’s game looking to have a productive outing with consistent placement with his fastball, curve ball, change-up, and sinker.
Miller did not disappoint today. His curveball had a lot of swing and miss, and his fastball reached 99 mph.
Miller ended his day with 78P / 46S / 4.2IP / 2H / 0ER / 2BB / 4K / 7 whiffs / 27 CSW%. His command was solid with his fastball placement pinpoint, and his curveball was in the zone with a lot of drops. His sinker reached 95 mph, and the changeup had a lot of action.
If Miller can get back to form, he will make a case to be brought back up and possibly be considered as the number five or six starter for your 2024 World Series Champs, Los Angeles Dodgers.
