Dodgers Farm: Dodgers Promote Top Prospects Josue De Paula and Zyhir Hope to Double-A Tulsa

The Dodgers’ farm system continues to live up to its reputation as one of the best in baseball. On Monday, two of the organization’s most promising young outfielders, Josue De Paula and Zyhir Hope, were promoted to Double-A Tulsa, marking a significant step forward in their development.

Both players rank among MLB Pipeline’s top 20 Dodgers prospects and now face the challenge of advanced competition. For an organization that already boasts MLB.com’s No. 1-ranked farm system, their rise is another reminder of how international scouting, savvy trades, and strong player development keep the Dodgers pipeline stocked with future talent.

At just 20 years old, De Paula has steadily climbed the system since signing as an international free agent. His breakout moment came this summer when he earned MVP honors at the 2025 MLB Futures Game, shining against the game’s top prospects.

With High-A Great Lakes, he posted a .263 average with a .406 on-base percentage, 12 home runs, and a knack for making adjustments at the plate, standing 6’3” with both power and discipline, De Paula projects as a potential middle-of-the-order bat for the Dodgers in the near future.

Hope, also 20, joined the Dodgers in the Michael Busch trade with the Cubs last offseason and has quickly proven he’s more than just a secondary piece. His speed, athleticism, and all-around skill set have turned him into one of the system’s most exciting names.

With the Great Lakes this season, Hope slashed .264/.377/.425 and swiped 26 bases, showcasing the blend of offense and defense that has scouts calling him a potential five-tool outfielder. Ranked MLB Pipeline’s No. 19 overall prospect, he’s gone from “throw-in” to centerpiece material.

The promotions of De Paula and Hope put them just two steps away from Dodger Stadium and add to the list of young talent knocking on the door. For a team built on star power at the big-league level, the Dodgers’ ability to keep producing prospects like these is what continues to set them apart.
