Atlanta, GA – The Los Angeles Dodgers’ future stars put on a dazzling display at the 2025 All-Star Futures Game today, with top prospect Josue De Paula smashing a crucial three-run home run and earning MVP honors, while fellow outfielder Zyhir Hope contributed to the National League’s 4-2 victory over the American League.
De Paula, a highly-touted outfielder currently playing for the Class A Great Lakes Loons, made the biggest splash of the afternoon, securing the prestigious Larry Doby Award as the game’s Most Valuable Player. In the bottom of the fourth inning, with the NL trailing 2-1, De Paula launched a line-drive, 416-foot three-run homer to right-center field off White Sox prospect Noah Schultz. Joining De Paula on the National League roster was fellow Dodgers outfield prospect Zyhir Hope. While Hope didn’t have the same highlight-reel moment as De Paula, he was a valuable presence in the NL lineup and contributed to the team’s overall success. Hope, who came to the Dodgers in the Michael Busch trade, has been having a strong 2025 season himself. Prior to the Futures Game, he boasted a .293 batting average with 9 home runs, 56 RBIs, and 12 stolen bases in 81 games in High-A. His impressive .394 on-base percentage highlights his disciplined approach at the plate.
The performances by De Paula and Hope underscored the depth and talent within the Dodgers’ farm system.
