I had the opportunity to attend a Dodgers luncheon today, February 5th 2015 at the Stadium Club at Dodger Stadium. This event was strictly for group leaders who are responsible for their respective organizations. I have been in charge of my martial arts demonstration at Dodger Stadium and in order to perform on the field our organization sells a 1000 tickets. Seats at Dodger Stadium are a hot commodity and this year will be no exception.
The event started at 11am, where each group leader checked in to obtain their group leader info packet. The Stadium Club overlooks Dodger Stadium. The field was still damaged from Fan Fest and Zack Greinke was throwing today. The info packet had the upcoming 2015 promotional schedule, info about the loge party boxes/executive club level, and a raffle ticket. The raffle ticket in each packet were for prizes that were raffled at the conclusion of the event. Prizes included Magic Johnson bobbleheads, Dodgers glasses and some really awesome prizes : Two MVP seats with no black out dates, signed Andre Ethier and Mark McGwire ball. Tables were set up for all the different group leaders. At my table was Recovery Night and the City of Glendale. Other organizations included little league clubs, booster clubs, various cities, Sketchers, and other organizations that host events at Dodger Stadium throughout the year.
Lunch was provided with Dodger Dogs, Caesar Salad, Pretzel Bread Chicken Sandwiches and Brownies/Blondies for dessert.
Both Stan Kasten and Farhan Zhadi spoke at the event. Farhan Zhadi answered a few questions from group leaders. He is excited for Joc Pederson’s future, Corey Seager and Julio Urias. He also reiterated the fact that the middle infield duo may be here longer than just one year (Howie Kendrick/ Jimmy Rollins). Kasten had another event to go to in Downey so he left early. Overall, this event was great!
