Dodgers Interview: Teoscar discusses the “honor” of a potential All-Star nod

Dodgers Outfielder Teoscar Hernandez Reflects on Postgame Heroics and All-Star Game

LOS ANGELES, CA — Dodgers outfielder Teoscar Hernandez delivered a clutch walk-off hit, leading his team to a dramatic victory. In a postgame interview, Hernandez shared his thoughts on the moment and his upcoming participation in the All-Star Game.

Hernandez emphasized staying calm under pressure. “When I’m at home plate, I just try not to think about it,” he said. “I don’t want to put extra pressure on myself. I try to slow my body down, get a pitch I can put in play, and wait for the results.”

Reflecting on the team’s resilience, Hernandez praised their fighting spirit. “We are never going to be out of it,” he stated. “We always fight until the last out, trying to get on base for the next guy. That’s what we did today, even with two outs.”

Hernandez also expressed his excitement about being selected for the All-Star Game. “The support has been awesome,” he said. “To be part of the All-Star Game this year is going to be amazing, especially representing this city and this team. It’s a dream come true. It doesn’t matter if I start or not; it’s just good to be part of it.”

In closing, Hernandez humbly acknowledged comparisons to baseball legends, expressing pride in his achievements while remaining focused on his unique contributions to the game.

Steve Webb

A lifelong baseball fan, Webb has been going to Dodger games since he moved to Los Angeles in 1987. His favorite memory was sitting in an apartment in October 1988 when Gibby went yard against Eckersley in the World Series. Which came about ten minutes after he declared “this game is over!” Hopefully, his baseball acumen has improved since then. He has been writing for Dodgersbeat since 2020.
