ROUND ROCK, TX — After his second rehab start with the Oklahoma City, Yoshinobu Yamamoto reflected on his progress as he works his way back to the major leagues, with just one month remaining until the playoffs. The pitcher, known for his exceptional talent, expressed a strong desire to return to the team and contribute during the crucial final stretch of the season.

“It’s been a challenging journey, but being back here is rewarding,” Yamamoto said. “Watching the team play makes me eager to return as soon as possible. We have so many great players, and I’ve been looking forward to playing alongside them again.”

Regarding his pitching performance, Yamamoto acknowledged that while his curveball showed promise, there were still areas that needed improvement. “In the early part of the game, I was able to throw strikes, but I wasn’t getting as many swings and misses as I’d like, and some pitches were being taken for balls,” he explained. “Toward the end of the outing, I was able to identify the causes of those issues, which is encouraging.”

Despite some struggles, Yamamoto remained positive about his overall performance, viewing it as a valuable step in his recovery process. “I didn’t have my best stuff today, but it was still a productive outing,” he noted, expressing optimism about his continued progress.

As Yamamoto continues his rehab, his focus remains on regaining his form in time for the playoffs. His return will be a significant boost for the Dodgers, as they look to solidify their roster for a deep postseason run. “I’m committed to working hard and getting back to where I need to be,” Yamamoto said, determined to make an impact in the upcoming playoffs.
