Dodgers News: Anthony Banda & Dodgers Reach Agreement, Avoiding Arbitration
Lefty Anthony Banda and the Dodgers have avoided arbitration

LOS ANGELES, CA—In the final hours before the Major League Baseball arbitration deadline, the Los Angeles Dodgers came to a figure agreement with their final arbitration-eligible player, left-hander Anthony Banda, according to Katie Woo of The Athletic.
Banda, 32, and the Dodgers agreed to a $1.625 million salary for the 2026 season, while MLB Trade Rumors had the southpaw projected for $1.7 million, just under that projected number.
Banda is in his third season with the Dodgers after playing for seven other organizations. Since joining the team, he has proven to be a valuable part of the bullpen.
Over 114.2 innings, the lefty maintains a 3.14 ERA and a 1.23 WHIP, holding opponents to a .211 batting average, with a strikeout rate of 23.3% and a walk rate of 10.9%.
Banda is out of minor league options and still has one more arbitration year left before becoming an unrestricted free agent after the 2027 season.
Even with the addition of Edwin Díaz, Banda figures to be a solid mid-to-late inning left-handed option for Dodgers manager Dave Roberts to pair with fellow left-hander Alex Vesia.
