Dodgers News: Blue Jays Announce 26-Man Roster for World Series

The Blue Jays have announced their 26-man roster for the World Series

TORONTO—The Toronto Blue Jays have finalized their 26-man roster for the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers ahead of Friday night’s Game One at the Rogers Centre, including 14 position players and 12 pitchers.

The roster includes all-star shortstop Bo Bichette; however, his role for Game One and the series is to be determined as the .311 hitter has been out over a month due to a knee injury suffered in early September.

Ty France, who has also yet to appear in a postseason game this year, has been added to the Blue Jays roster for the World Series.

Anthony Santander, who was removed during the American League Championship Series (ALCS) and replaced by Joey Loperfido, is not eligible for the World Series. Santander was scratched from Game 2 due to lower back tightness, which eventually necessitated his replacement.

José Berríos, who is still on the injured list with right elbow inflammation, has also been left out of the World Series roster.
