Dodgers News: Brock Stewart Makes Second Rehab Appearance, Could Rejoin LA this Weekend
Brock Stewart made his second appearance for the Triple-A OKC Comets yesterday. Next stop, Los Angeles?

TACOMA, WA—As the 2025 regular season approaches its final weekend, the Los Angeles Dodgers’ most significant concern before October has been their bullpen.
Since September 1st, the bullpen ranks at the bottom of the National League in fWAR, ERA, FIP, and earned runs, which is not a recipe for a successful postseason run.
Due to that, the Dodgers have been experimenting with roles at all levels of the organization. In Triple-A, right-handers Ben Casparius, Kyle Hurt, and Roki Sasaki are all options for the ‘pen come next week, but one arm is likely returning this weekend, right-hander Brock Stewart.
Stewart, 33, made his second and possibly final rehab outing yesterday, pitching just two-thirds of an inning, allowing four runs (zero earned) on one hit, one walk, and collecting two punchouts.
Overall, the right-hander has posted a 0.00 ERA in two appearances with the Comets this month, but each has come with some heavy traffic due to two walks and two hits in just 1.2 innings of work.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts stated earlier this week that Stewart would likely just need two outings before returning to help the Dodgers’ bullpen by season’s end.
Despite the near return, Stewart does not feel the pressure ot “save” the Dodgers bullpen.
“I mean, yeah, I would love to help the team right now. I don’t know if it’s pressure. I still have to focus on myself, because I’m not out of the woods yet,” Stewart recently said.
“You know, I got to continue to build up with the rehab program that they’re putting together for me, got to continue to build up throwing. So no, I mean, I’m still at the point of taking it one day at a time.
“And honestly, when I’m healthy and active, it’s still everything’s one day at a time, one pitch at a time, so I’m not putting any pressure on myself, and I don’t think anybody else is.
“It is what it is, relievers get hurt. I’ve been hurt before for sure, it’s just part of it. Just got to continue to keep working.”
Regardless, the return of Stewart will be a good thing for the Dodgers’ bullpen as the team evaluates its options for October and the three-game Wild Card series that awaits them.
