Dodgers News: Brusdar Graterol’s 2025 Comeback is Over

LOS ANGELES, CA—The Los Angeles Dodgers’ pitching staff has undergone multiple injuries throughout the long regular season.

Despite that, the Dodgers remained hopeful that one of the top right-handed arms could rejoin the team in the second half or in October, but that ultimately did not take place.

That player was fan-favorite Brusdar Graterol, who has missed the entire 2025 season after undergoing right shoulder surgery after the conclusion of the 2025 World Series.

The Dodgers initially hoped that Graterol would return after the All-Star break, but he made little progress. The right-hander has mainly been rehabbing at Camelback Ranch and has not yet pitched in a Minor League game.

Graterol held a bullpen session at Dodger Stadium late last month, increasing hopes for a potential return later this year. Manager Dave Roberts indicated that the Dodgers are willing to activate Graterol in October even if he hasn’t pitched in any games this season.

Over five seasons with the Dodgers, Graterol has compiled a 10-8 record with a 2.69 ERA, a 3.19 FIP, and a 1.03 WHIP across 181 innings pitched in 178 games, including five starts.

He is eligible for one more year of salary arbitration before potentially becoming a free agent after the 2026 season.

If healthy, Graterol proved to be one of Dodgers manager Dave Roberts’ top arms in the bullpen, and should he be available, it will be a boost to the 2026 Dodgers bullpen.
