Dodgers News: Clayton Kershaw Completes Second Rehab Start

via OKC Comets

SPRINGDALE, AR — Veteran left-handed pitcher Clayton Kershaw completed his second rehab start this afternoon, this time with the Los Angeles Dodgers Double-A affiliate, the Tulsa Drillers, in their weekday match versus the Northwest Arkansas Naturals in Springdale, Arkansas.

Last week with the Triple-A OKC Comets, Kershaw, 37, tossed three efficient scoreless innings on thirty pitches, getting a lot of weak contact and racking up two strikeouts on the day.

Today, it would not be as clean for Kershaw, who would toss three innings of one-run ball after allowing two doubles in the first inning.

Kershaw would enter the fourth inning, but after allowing a walk and a hit, was removed after three full innings of work on sixty pitches, double the amount he threw last week with the Triple-A OKC Comets.

Overall, the results were still great for Kershaw, who would allow just one run, four hits, and one walk before handing it over to the Drillers bullpen.

Kershaw, 37, is likely set to make a handful of rehab starts as he is not eligible to be activated off the 60-day injured list until May 17th.
