Dodgers News: Dave Roberts Announces Starting Rotation for Wild Card Series

The Dodgers starting rotation has been announced

LOS ANGELES, CA—While Dodgers manager Dave Roberts heavily implied it after the team’s 6-1 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Sunday, that lefty Blake Snell would likely get the ball in Game One of Tuesday’s Wild Card Series, which was confirmed along with the rest of the starting rotation for the following two games.

The Dodgers announced on their social media and at the team’s workouts that Snell would indeed take the ball in Game One versus the Cincinnati Reds, which is logical due to how poorly the Reds’ offense has performed against southpaws this season, ranking just 26th in all of baseball in wRC+ (76).

However, during today’s media session, it was announced that Game Two would go to Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and should the series go the distance, that two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani would “probably” go to Game Three.

That leaves Emmet Sheehan and Tyler Glasnow off the starting rotation, which was expected to be the case during the short three-game Wild Card round.
