Dodgers News: Dave Roberts Updates Max Muncy After HBP

SAN FRANCISCO, CA—Dodgers manager Dave Roberts explained why Max Muncy left Friday night’s game after taking a pitch off his forearm.
“Where he got hit on the forearm, he just felt unsure about throwing the ball across the diamond in a tight ball game,” Roberts said. “So I thought it was smart to get him out of there and get treated on it and, you know, hopefully be back in there tomorrow.”
The good news for the Dodgers: x-rays came back negative. Roberts added that he expects Muncy to be in the lineup for Saturday’s game.
It looks like the third baseman avoided anything serious, and the Dodgers should have his bat back quickly as they continue their push down the stretch.
