Dodgers News: Dodgers 26-Man Wild Card Series Roster Announced

The Dodgers have announced their 26-man roster for the NL Wild Card Series

LOS ANGELES, CA—Prior to tonight’s start of the three-game Wild Card Series, the Los Angeles Dodgers officially announced their 26-man roster.

A significant omission from the roster is Michael Conforto, who primarily started in left field for the Dodgers but experienced difficulties during the season and consequently lost playing time late in the year.

Conforto ended the year with a batting line of .199/.305/.333, including 12 home runs, 36 RBIs, and 54 runs scored. While he had some strong stretches of performance, he was unable to sustain that level consistently over the season.

With Conforto off the roster, Kiké Hernández and Miguel Rojas are expected to serve as the main replacements. Justin Dean joins mainly as a pinch-runner and defensive substitute.

Anthony Banda was also omitted from the roster for the Wild Card round. Banda was crucial during the 2024 World Series run and has performed excellently in the second half, posting a 1.52 ERA over his last 23.2 innings.

The Dodgers have four left-handed relievers—Tanner Scott, Alex Vesia, Jack Dreyer, and Justin Wrobleski—making Banda seem the least trusted among them. They focused on adding an extra position player, which they valued more highly than obtaining another left-handed pitcher.

The Dodgers’ taxi squad for the Wild Card Series includes Clayton Kershaw, Anthony Banda, Michael Conforto, Bobby Miller, Kyle Hurt, Ben Casparius, and Esteury Ruiz.
