Dodgers News: Dodgers Agree to 1-year, $2.8 Million Deal with Graterol, Avoiding Arbitration

The Dodgers have avoided arbitration with Brusdar Graterol

LOS ANGELES, CA—While the 2026 Major League Baseball offseason moves along with spring training less than two months away, tomorrow is the deadline for teams to agree to deals with their arbitration-eligible players.

That also applies to the back-to-back champion Los Angeles Dodgers, who must reach deals with four players by tomorrow or risk going to arbitration.

However, that list now shrinks to four: according to Robert Murray of FanSided, the Dodgers and right-handed reliever Brusdar Graterol have agreed to a 1-year, $2.8 million deal for the 2026 season, avoiding arbitration.

Still, the Dodgers have three more arbitration-eligible players remaining in left-handed pitcher Anthony Banda ($1.7 per MLB Trade Rumors), right-handed pitcher Brock Stewart ($1.4 million), and outfielder Alex Call ($1.5 million).

Initially entering the offseason, the Dodgers had eight arbitration-eligible players, but over the course of the winter, that list was trimmed down after trades and the non-tender deadline.

As for Graterol, the hefty right-hander missed all of the 2025 season recovering from last offseason’s shoulder surgery, an injury that plagued him most of the 2024 season.

While the Dodgers had hoped the right-hander would be able to rejoin the team by last year’s All-Star break, that was never the case as Graterol was shut down right as the postseason began.

Over five seasons with the Dodgers, Graterol has compiled a 10-8 record with a 2.69 ERA, a 3.19 FIP, and a 1.03 WHIP across 181 innings pitched in 178 games, including five starts.

If healthy, Graterol proved to be one of Dodgers manager Dave Roberts’ top arms in the bullpen, and should he be available, it will be a boost to the 2026 Dodgers bullpen, which struggled most of last season.
