Dodgers News: Dodgers Announce 2026 Regular Season Schedule Including Opening Day, Jackie Robinson Day & More

LOS ANGELES, CA—While the 2025 Major League Baseball regular season is coming to a close with less than thirty games remaining, the league has officially announced the upcoming tentative schedule for the 2026 season.

The Los Angeles Dodgers, who kicked off the regular season in back-to-back years internationally, will return to a regular domestic Opening Day on Thursday, March 26th at Dodger Stadium versus their National League West rivals, the Arizona Diamondbacks.

March 26th marks the earliest typical Opening Day in MLB history, excluding special season-openers and international games. It features fourteen games, with six interleague matchups. Following five games on Friday, all thirty teams will play on March 28th.

Also returning is Major League Baseball’s balanced schedule, which means all thirty teams will play each other for the fourth consecutive season. This means the Dodgers will play all 29 opposing teams again in 2026, totaling 46 Interleague games—an increase from 20 in the previous seasons.

MLB’s balanced schedule format also means the Dodgers will once again make only two visits to opposing National League West cities and play a total of fifty-two divisional games, down from seventy-six.

With the announcement, we also have a few key dates with confirmation of who the team will be playing.

Jackie Robinson Day features the Dodgers hosting the New York Mets on April 15th. The Dodgers will also play at Dodger Stadium on several holidays: Mother’s Day against the Atlanta Braves (May 10th), Memorial Day versus the Rockies (May 25th), Father’s Day with the Baltimore Orioles (June 21st), Independence Day against the San Diego Padres (July 4th), and Labor Day against the Cincinnati Reds (September 7th).

The Dodgers will face the Giants for the first time in the 2026 season at Oracle Park from April 21-23. Their first matchup with the Padres is scheduled for May 18-20, a three-game series at Petco Park.

Interleague play for the Dodgers in 2026 begins with a series against the Cleveland Guardians at Dodger Stadium from March 30th to April 1st. The first Freeway Series is scheduled for May 15-17 at Angel Stadium.

This year’s mid-summer classic will be played in Philadelphia at Citizens Bank Park, the home of the Phillies, on Tuesday, July 14th, with the T-Mobile Home Run Derby set on Monday, July 13th.

The Dodgers will play at Yankee Stadium from July 17-19 during their first series after the All-Star break in the 2026 season.

Their final road trip on the 2026 Dodgers schedule is from September 25-27 against the Giants. The 2026 MLB regular season concludes on Sunday, September 27th.
