Dodgers News: Dodgers Claim Mike Siani from Braves
The Dodgers have claimed a defensive first outfielder.

LOS ANGELES, CA—The Los Angeles Dodgers announced that they have claimed outfielder Mike Siani off waivers from the Atlanta Braves, bringing their 40-man roster to 39 players.
Siani, 26, was DFA’d earlier this week after the Braves signed free agent outfielder Mike Yastrzemski.
In 160 career major league games with the Cincinnati Reds and St. Louis Cardinals from 2022-25, Siani slashed .221/.277/.270 and has a career 58 wRC+, but is one of the more well-regarded defensive players in the sport.
During the 2024 season, Siani posted a combined 16 OAA in center field and ranked in the 76th percentile in spring speed, but his lackluster performance at the plate kept him in the minor leagues for most of 2025.
Siani’s time in Atlanta was short, having been claimed on waivers back in November after having spent the first six seasons with the Cincinnati Reds and St. Louis Cardinals.
It remains to be seen where the Dodgers value Siani and whether he’d be in competition for a spot on the Dodgers bench, minor league depth, or just a 40-man place holder for a bigger move down the line.
