Dodgers News: Dodgers Designate Lou Trivino for Assignment, Recall Edgardo Henriquez

The Dodgers announced Monday that reliever Lou Trivino has been designated for assignment. In a corresponding move, the team recalled right-handed pitcher Edgardo Henriquez from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Henriquez has posted a 5.89 ERA over 18 innings this season in the minors. He began the year on the 15-day injured list after suffering a spring training injury and was later moved to the 60-day IL to start the 2025 campaign. Activated on June 29, Henriquez has pitched for Oklahoma City since.

Trivino departs the Dodgers after a solid stint with the team, recording a 3.76 ERA across 26 innings. Although his time in Los Angeles was short, he provided depth for a bullpen that has faced many challenges throughout the season.

As the trade deadline nears, the Dodgers, who have lost 10 of their last 12 games, are expected to seek reinforcements, particularly in the bullpen and possibly in the outfield. Despite the recent slump, Los Angeles remains in first place in the NL West with a 58-42 record, holding a 3.5-game lead over the San Diego Padres.
