Dodgers News: Dodgers DFA Mike Siani; Kyle Tucker Deal Made Official
The Dodgers have DFA'd defensive-first outfielder Mike Siani to make room for Kyle Tucker

LOS ANGELES, CA—In order to make room for the Los Angeles Dodgers signing of Kyle Tucker to be made official, the team announced they have DFA’d defensive-first outfielder Mike Siani.
Siani, 26, was DFA’d earlier this winter by the Atlanta Braves before being claimed off waivers by the Dodgers on December 12th.
In 160 career major league games with the Cincinnati Reds and St. Louis Cardinals from 2022-25, Siani slashed .221/.277/.270 and has a career 58 wRC+, but is one of the more well-regarded defensive players in the sport.
During the 2024 season, Siani posted a combined 16 OAA in center field and ranked in the 76th percentile in spring speed, but his lackluster performance at the plate kept him in the minor leagues for most of 2025.
Siani’s time in Atlanta was short, having been claimed on waivers back in November after having spent the first six seasons with the Cincinnati Reds and St. Louis Cardinals.
The Dodgers’ 40-man roster has been at max capacity most of the offseason, meaning any move the team made was usually followed by a corresponding move shortly after.
With Tucker’s signing made official, the 40-man roster remains at 40 players, and the team is still involved in multiple trade rumors centered around Bobby Miller and Ryan Ward as a way to create more roster flexibility.
