Dodgers News: Dodgers NLDS Starting Rotation Announced

PHILADELPHIA, PA—Entering the final two months of the 2025 regular season, the Los Angeles Dodgers’ starting rotation, led by two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Blake Snell, Tyler Glasnow, Clayton Kershaw, and Emmet Sheehan, became a massive strength for the Dodgers and a huge reason as to why they won yet another National League West title.
That rotation was on full display during Tuesday and Wednesday’s National League Wild Card games against the Cincinnati Reds, as the combined might of Snell and Yamamoto was too much for the Reds’ offense, leading to a swift two-game sweep.
If the Dodgers are to repeat as World Series Champions, they’ll not only rely on that deep rotation that they’ve assembled, but they also have to, especially with how shaky the bullpen has been.
Heading into the National League Division Series against the Philadelphia Phillies, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts already announced on Wednesday that Ohtani would be the Game One starter at Citizens Bank Park on Saturday.
Well, during today’s final team workout, Dave Roberts announced the rest of the Dodgers’ starting rotation through Game Three, and it’ll go: Shohei Ohtani Game One, Blake Snell Game Two, and Yoshinobu Yamamoto Game Three.
While Game Four wasn’t explicitly stated, Roberts heavily implied that right-handed pitcher Tyler Glasnow would get the ball while also saying that he’d be an option in the bullpen during Game One after Ohtani.
If the series were to go to a Game Five, due to the multiple off-days sprinkled throughout the series, the Dodgers could go with Ohtani on six days’ rest or Blake Snell on traditional rest.
