Dodgers News: Dodgers Pick Up Alex Vesia’s Club Option
The Dodgers have picked up Alex Vesia's $3.6 million club option for 2026

LOS ANGELES, CA—The Los Angeles Dodgers are picking up left-handed relief pitcher Alex Vesia’s $3.6 million club option for the 2026 season.
Similar to Max Muncy, who was also one of the two eligible players for a club option this offseason, the Dodgers opted to bring back both.
Vesia also had a $50,000 buyout if the Dodgers wanted to go through the arbitration process, as Vesia would be entering the final year of club control; however, per MLB Trade Rumors, Vesia was projected to earn around $4.1 million this season, significantly more than the current $3.6 million option.
Vesia has been one of Dodgers manager Dave Roberts‘ most trusted arms in the bullpen, filling in a variety of roles, whether late in the game, middle-inning duties, or the occasional save.
Vesia had a solid 2025 season, holding a 3.02 ERA in 59.2 innings this season while also posting an elite 33.8% strikeout percentage and collecting 25 holds this season from the Dodgers bullpen.
Since joining the Dodgers in 2022, Vesia has been one of the best relief pitchers in baseball, holding a 2.67 ERA across 270 innings, and due to personal circumstances, was unable to appear in the World Series but will return for the upcoming season.
