Dodgers News: Dodgers Re-Sign Carlos Duran to Minor League Deal
The Dodgers made another minor league signing, this time bringing back Carlos Duran.

LOS ANGELES, CA—In minor league updates, the Los Angeles Dodgers re-signed minor league free agent Carlos Duran to a minor league deal following the end of the 2025 regular season with the Athletics organization.
Duran initially signed with the Dodgers as an international free agent in 2018 and played parts of six seasons with the team before being traded to the Athletics in April for Esteury Ruiz.
Duran debuted for the Oklahoma City Comets in 2025 just before the trade, pitching 4.1 innings, giving up only one run, and striking out eight.
He played in 38 games overall, with two starts, for the Dodgers’ and Athletics’ Triple-A affiliates this year. He posted a combined record of 4-0, with a 5.03 ERA and a 1.72 WHIP over 62.2 innings.
Duran has a career record of 4-20, an ERA of 4.27, and a WHIP of 1.45 across 119 Minor League games (including 80 starts) over six seasons.
Although Duran did not debut with the Dodgers in the Major League, he quickly made his first appearance with the Athletics in May, where he retired only one of the five batters he faced, permitting three runs on one hit, along with three walks.
In June, the Athletics designated Duran for assignment, and he subsequently spent the remainder of the season in Triple-A.
The 24-year-old, along with Nick Frasso and Chuckie Robinson, rejoined the Dodgers organization this offseason on Minor League contracts.
Duran will likely serve as minor-league pitching depth but could be considered for the Dodgers’ bullpen during the regular season if injuries occur.
