Dodgers News: Dodgers Reportedly Sign Cuban Pitcher Yaisel Sierra
The Dodgers have reportedly signed Cuban right-handed pitcher Yaisel Sierra (25). The news was first reported on twitter this morning by Jeff Passan.
Sources: Dodgers and Cuban RHP Yaisel Sierra are nearing a deal. Believed to be for around $30M and would cover six or seven years.

Sierra would be the third pitcher signed by the Dodgers in recent weeks to go along with the signings of Scott Kazmir and Kenta Maeda. The deal for Sierra is believed to be around $30 Million and six years. It was also reported that the Chicago Cubs and Miami Marlins were making a strong push for Sierra.

The Dodgers structure of their offer is what seems to put them in the lead and able to pull away.

Earlier reports suggested the Dodgers would like to groom Sierra as a starter, but they could use him in the bullpen.
