The Los Angeles Dodgers have officially announced their 2025 Major League coaching staff for the upcoming season, featuring evolved roles for Dino Ebel, Brandon McDaniel, and Chris Woodward.
Current Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, 52, is leading the pack, who is entering his 10th season in the role with the Los Angeles Dodgers, having been hired in November of 2015.
Overall, Roberts has a lifetime 851-507 record as a manager, giving him a .627 winning percentage, the highest in Major League Baseball history with at least 1000 games managed. In that time, the Dodgers have won the National League West eight times, won the National League pennant four times (2017,2018,2020,2024), and finished as World Series Champions twice (2020,2024).
Danny Lehmann, 39, will begin his third season as the club’s bench coach under Roberts and his eighth season overall, having previously been the game planning and communications coach.
Bob Geren, 63, the Dodgers’ former bench coach, will enter his 10th season overall and third as Major League field coordinator.
With former Dodgers first base coach Clayton McCullough taking the Miami Marlins manager gig earlier this winter, the Dodgers had an opening on their staff. That spot was filled by former Dodgers third base coach Chris Woodward, who will now take over first base coach and infield coaching responsibilities.
Dino Ebel, 58, will remain the Dodgers third base coach but will now shift to coaching outfielders during the season. This will be Ebel’s seventh season with the Dodgers.
Brandon McDaniel is considered a new addition to the Dodgers coaching staff this season. McDaniel has been elevated from vice president of player performance to Major League development integration coach.
McDaniel, 41, is entering his 13th season at the Major League level for the Dodgers and has had previous titles such as director of player performance (2019-2021), vice president of player performance entering the 2022 season, and Dodgers’ head strength and conditioning coach (2014-2018), and strength and conditioning coach (2013).
The rest of the coaching staff remains unchanged from last season with Mark Prior as the pitching coach, his sixth season in the role. Robert Van Scoyoc, 38, begins his seventh season as hitting coach. Aaron Bates, 40, is starting his seventh season on the Dodger coaching staff and third as hitting coach, after spending four years as the assistant hitting coach (2019–22).
Connor McGuiness, 35, enters his sixth season as assistant pitching coach, and Josh Bard, 46, commences his eighth season as bullpen coach, including the most recent six years (2016–17, 2020-).
