Dodgers News: Dodgers Set to Hit Four Million Mark in Attendance

The Dodgers will hit a new milestone with four million total fans attending for the first time in their history on Sunday.

LOS ANGELES, CA—With the Los Angeles Dodgers set to play their final four games during the weekend against the San GFransisco Giants at Chavez Ravine, the team is on pace to finally eclipse the four million mark, the first time in franchise history.

Last month, the Dodgers reached the three-million-fan-attendance mark in just sixty home games, the quickest the team had ever reached that mark.

Earlier this season, the Dodgers set a new franchise record for the fewest games to reach 2 million in Dodger Stadium attendance.

Through 62 home games, the Dodgers lead all of MLB with a total attendance of 3,047,847. Their home attendance average of 49,159 is also the best in baseball.

Another streak that is continuing is the Dodgers’ leading the league in attendance, which they have done every year that Mark Walter and the Guggenheim Baseball Management have owned the team.

Lon Rosen, the Dodgers’ executive vice president and chief marketing officer, mentioned in an interview with the Los Angeles Times that the team would officially surpass 4 million tickets sold during the regular season finale on Sunday. “We’re proud of the accomplishment.”

While the record has not been up to par as in seasons past, the Dodgers, coming off a World Series championship, hype was at an all-time high, and attendance shoulda only continue to increase as the Dodgers are more than just a baseball brand, they’re one of the top tourist spots as they have grown internationally.
