Dodgers News: Dodgers to Call Up Top Pitching Prospect River Ryan after All-Star Break

Via OKC Dodgers Twitter/X

The Dodgers plan to promote right-handed pitching prospect River Ryan to the majors following the All-Star Break. There is no concrete date on when Ryan is going to be pitching and it’s very unclear how long he will be on the starting rotation.

The start of his 2024 campaign was delayed for a short period as he was dealing with a shoulder issue, but ever since he’s been back, he’s been raising his prospect stock. Ryan has accumulated a 2.21 ERA with 27 K’s over 20.1 IP.

Ryan’s call-up is not a surprise as the Dodgers pitching wounds continue to cut deeper heading into the break and the heat of the trade deadline.
