Dodgers News: Five Dodgers Crack ESPN Top 100, Led by Josue De Paula

Dodgers’ farm system surges again with five Top 100 selections highlighted by outfielder Josue De Paula on ESPN's Top 100

LOS ANGELES, CA—Over the past few days, media outlets across Major League Baseball have published their preseason Top 100 prospect lists, and ESPN is no exception, as insider Kiley McDaniel has released his rankings for the 2026 season.

A total of five Los Angeles Dodgers prospects appeared on McDaniel’s list, led by outfielder Josue De Paula, who was ranked No. 21 overall. This ranking is comparable to the positions of other young prospects in the top 25 on Baseball America, The Athletic, and MLB Pipeline.

Eduardo Quintero kept climbing these rankings, now at No. 37 according to McDaniel, after being No. 106 overall before the 2025 season’s preseason. Quintero, who is a year younger than De Paula and Zyhir Hope, earned the California League MVP award last year and spent significant time at High-A Great Lakes to conclude the season.

Last season, ESPN ranked seven Dodgers among the top 100 prospects, with pitcher Roki Sasaki at No. 1 and catcher Dalton Rushing at 16. Both made their Major League debut last season.

This year, Emil Morales, a 19-year-old shortstop, is the youngest Dodger on the ESPN top-100 list, ranking No. 65 overall.

• Josue De Paula (OF) – No. 21
De Paula is the Dodgers’ top-ranked prospect and the clear headliner of the group. ESPN loves the bat — and for good reason. He’s already showing the kind of power and plate discipline that could make him a middle-of-the-order force. At just 20 years old, he’s trending toward being one of the next big names in the organization.

• Eduardo Quintero (CF) – No. 37
Quintero’s rise has been one of the more fun stories in the Dodgers’ system. He broke out in a big way in 2025 and has turned himself into a legitimate all-around center fielder. With speed, defense, and a much-improved bat, it’s no surprise he climbed onto ESPN’s list.

• Zyhir Hope (OF) – No. 40
Hope brings a ton of raw tools — power, speed, physicality — and ESPN clearly believes in the upside. He’s still polishing the finer points of his game, but he already looks like someone who could take a big leap with another strong season.

• Mike Sirota (OF) – No. 55
Sirota hasn’t been with the organization long, but he hasn’t wasted any time making an impression. Even with last year’s injury slowing him down, he showed enough early on for ESPN to slot him into the Top 100. If he stays healthy, he’s a real breakout candidate.

• Emil Morales (SS) – No. 65
Morales is the youngest in the group, and his ranking is based on potential. The Dodgers have high hopes for him thanks to his bat speed, athleticism, and early flashes of feel at shortstop. He’s still developing, but the ceiling is exciting.
