WASHINGTON D.C. — With the Los Angeles Dodgers opting to push Yoshinobu Yamamoto‘s start back and the placement of left-handed pitcher Blake Snell on the 15-day Injured List, the Dodgers will now need two starters for the final two games in Washington against the Nationals.
However, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has clarified the Team’s plan for tomorrow. According to Roberts, left-handed pitcher Justin Wrobleski will be recalled from Triple-A OKC to start tomorrow’s game.
It’ll be another short stint at the Major League level for Wrobleski, who filtered between the minor leagues and big league roster last summer, finishing with a 1-2 record and a 5.70 ERA in 36.1 innings pitched.
So far this season in Triple-A OKC, Wrobleski has a 0.00 ERA after pitching 5.2 scoreless innings in his 2025 minor league season debut.
No corresponding move has been made yet, but it’s a safe bet that either Matt Sauer or Jack Dreyer will be biting the bullet tomorrow, as both players have minor-league options.
Roberts also mentioned during today’s pregame media scrum that right-handed pitcher Landon Knack is with the team “hanging around,” hinting at another move for this series and likely the starter for the third and final game.
