On Saturday, Clayton Kershaw threw a bullpen session but reported feeling some soreness in his shoulder, per Dave Roberts, reported by Jack Harris of the LA Times.
Three days prior, Kersh was in Rancho Cucamonga pitching for the Quakes in his first scheduled rehab start. He was solid in that appearance; his final line for his outing: 3 IP, 1 ER, 2 H, 1 BB, 5 K. All seemed promising as he said post-game that he felt good and “checked off a lot of boxes.”
The Dodgers will monitor how he’s feeling in the coming days, but Roberts said that there’s a “possibility” his next rehab outing in OKC on Tuesday could be pushed back.
“It’s going to be talking to him, talking to the training staff, seeing if he feels good to make it. [He’ll have] catch play tomorrow, if he feels good, great. If it doesn’t, we’ll just keep kicking it down the road until he’s ready,” Roberts said on how the Dodgers will decide what the next moves will be for the left-hander.
