Rancho Cucamonga, CA — All the vibes were present Wednesday afternoon at LoanMart Field for Clayton Kershaw‘s rehab stint. Kershaw displayed a pretty solid rehab start, going 3 IP, 1 ER, 2 H, 1 BB, and 5 K.
“I think it went good, checked off a lot of boxes, got through three innings,” Kershaw said when he was asked how he felt about his start. 36 pitches is all it took for Kersh to get through 3 innings and overall he was plowing through hitters. He was commanding the strike zone and was utilizing his iconic curveball as his put-away pitch punched out three of his five strikeouts.
Kershaw’s aptitude for this rehab start was very satisfying to watch, to say the least. He is really coming around to looking like himself and gearing up for a comeback, but as he said, this is just one step in the process.
Hopefully, Kersh will keep having successful rehab stints and we could have him back in Dodger blue come mid-July at the earliest! We will keep you posted about any updates on Kershaw’s rehab assignments here on DodgersBeat.
