Dodgers News: Matt Sauer Signs with KBO’s KT Wiz
Minor League free agent pitcher Matt Sauer is heading to the KBO

LOS ANGELES, CA—The Major League Baseball offseason is in full swing with players across the league free to sign with any team across the sport, including minor league free agents.
One of those players in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization who was a free agent after the conclusion of the 2025 season was right-handed pitcher Matt Sauer, who is now set to play baseball overseas.
Sauer spent this past season with Los Angeles in between Triple-A and the big league club, filling in for the bullpen when needed. However, the right-hander was DFA’d toward the end of the regular season.
Despite being released shortly after the Dodgers inked Sauer to a minor league contract, where he’d spend the rest of the season before testing the free agent market this fall.
Sauer recorded a 2-1 win-loss record, a 6.37 ERA, and a 1.45 WHIP over 10 appearances (including one start) with the Dodgers this year, while going 5-5 with a 5.86 ERA with the OKC Comets.
Sauer’s one-year deal with the Wiz is valued at $950,000, including a $200,000 signing bonus.
