Dodgers News: Roberts Announces Glasnow Will Start Game Three, Ohtani Will Start Game Four

Dave Roberts announced the team’s plans for Games Three and Four of the NLCS

MILWAUKEE, WI—Before the Los Angeles Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers clash for Game Two of the National League Championship Series, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts updated the media about the next steps for the series regarding the teams’ rotation.

A massive question that surrounded the team entering this series was when two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani would make his next start on the mound, after delivering six gutsy innings at Citizens Bank Park last week in the National League Division Series.

Well, we now have our answer as Roberts confirmed that the team would start right-hander Tyler Glasnow in Game Three and Ohtani in Game Four.

Robert’s explanation for the move is that it would line up Glasnow and Ohtani with extra rest for their starts, while also allowing them to be available for a potential Game Seven.

If the series goes the distance, Glasnow would be lined up to start on regular rest, but Roberts stated that Ohtani would be available from the ‘pen, should the series go that far.

That’ll line up Snell for a Game Five start and Yoshinobu Yamamoto for Game Six, as the Roberts already confirmed that the team would continue just using four starting pitchers through the NLCS and likely the World Series should the team advance.
