Dodgers News: Rojas to Remain with Dodgers Front Office after 2026
While 2026 will be his final season as a player, Rojas will remain with the Dodgers organization beyond this season.

LOS ANGELES, CA—Yesterday, Daniel Álvarez-Montes of El Extrabase reported that the Los Angeles Dodgers and veteran utility infielder Miguel Rojas agreed on a one-year, $5.5 million contract for the 2026 season. Rojas later confirmed this on Instagram.
However, while the 2026 season will be his final season, as hinted at during the 2025 season, Rojas will remain with the Dodgers in the front office after the 2026 season and assist them in a player development role.
Rojas first shared a desire to end his career with the Dodgers after the 2024 season. He reiterated that stance during the postseason and said 2026 would be his final season.
During the 2023 offseason, the Dodgers reacquired Rojas from the Miami Marlins in exchange for Jacob Amaya. A month later, he signed a contract extension with a club option for the 2025 season.
Over his four seasons with the Dodgers, Rojas has posted a batting line of .248/.304/.352, with 58 doubles, 19 home runs, and 103 RBIs across 426 games. In this period, he has played all four infield positions and also made eight appearances as a pitcher.
However, Rojas’ career highlight came in Game Seven of the 2025 World Series, when the 36-year-old veteran hit a game-tying solo home run in the 9th inning off Toronto Blue Jays closer Jeff Hoffman.
The notion of Rojas assuming a greater role within the organization after his playing career is hardly surprising, given his influence on various players, including guiding 2018 AL MVP Mookie Betts to transition fully to shortstop, a move that earned him a Gold Glove nomination this season.
Although the baseball card stats don’t fully capture Rojas’s impact on the Dodgers, his teammates have highlighted his leadership qualities in the clubhouse. They elected Rojas as the winner of the Roy Campanella Award two years in a row, an honor given to the Dodgers player who best embodies the spirit and leadership of the late Hall of Fame catcher.
