Dodgers News: Ryan Loutos Recalled, Justin Wrobleski Optioned to Triple-A OKC

LOS ANGELES—The Los Angeles Dodgers bullpen, in need of a fresh arm for this weekend’s series against the Los Angeles Angels, has recalled right-handed pitcher Ryan Loutos from Triple-A OKC.

To make room on the 26-man roster, the Dodgers optioned left-handed pitcher Justin Wrobleski.

Loutos, 26, was an undrafted free agent within the St. Louis Cardinals farm system, making his Major League debut last summer, tossing 2.1 scoreless innings for the Red Birds.

Loutos was an elite arm talent for the Cardinals’ minor league bullpen, pitching fifty-three innings, collecting eighteen saves, and logging a 3.40 ERA for Triple-A Memphis.

After the St. Louis Cardinals DFAed the righty on April 28th, the Dodgers acquired the righty via trade in exchange for cash considerations.

Loutos will be a fresh arm for Dodgers manager Dave Roberts to deploy. The bullpen is missing key relief arms on the injured list and had to use Matt Sauer for multiple innings in yesterday’s series-clinching win over the Athletics.

Wrobleski, 24, will return to OKC and cannot be recalled by the Dodgers for fifteen days unless he is replacing an injured player.

Still, Wrobleski did his job yesterday, pitching four scoreless innings and earning his first win of the 2025 season.
