Dodgers News: Sasaki Will be Activated Tomorrow, Stewart Considered Day-to-Day

Roki Sasaki and Brock Stewart have arrived in Arizona but are not yet active...

PHOENIX, AZ—As the Los Angeles Dodgers enter the final stretch of the 2025 Major League Baseball season, the main hurdle that faces the team as October baseball approaches has been the bullpen.

Over the last month, the bullpen has been a significant issue for Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, whose trust tree of arms in the ‘pen shirks every day, with even former dependable men like veteran right-hander Blake Treinen unable to get the job done in crunch time.

Well, fear not, Dodgers faithful, as reidfocmnets are on the way, or so we think. Both Roki Sasaki and Brock Stewart have rejoined the team in Arizona and are expected to be active this week.

Prior to tonight’s game, Dave Roberts confirmed that Sasaki will indeed be activated off the 60-day injured list tomorrow and join the Dodgers bullpen in a yet-to-be-determined role for the rest of the season.

As for Brock Stewart, Roberts shared that the right-hander is considered day-to-day and was seen earlier throwing a flat ground session with a team trainer and Dodgers General Manager Brandon Gomes in the outfield.

Still, the arrival of both of these arms is sure to boost the Dodgers ‘pen as they get ready for what is likely a Wild Card series at Dodger Stadium next Tuesday.

Sasaki, who’s been on the injured list since May with a right shoulder dislocation, made the transition to the bullpen just a few weeks ago and made two scoreless relief appearances before rejoining the team.

Stewart made three appearances and did not allow any earned runs, but struggled with traffic in each of his outings and did not show the dominant stuff he possessed with the Minnesota Twins earlier this season.

The team has been in desperate need of a dependable right-handed arm in the bullpen since mid-summer, and with just six games remaining, the Dodgers are hoping Sasaki or Stewart can fill that void.
