Dodgers News: Shohei Ohtani Leads MLB in Jersey Sales for Third Straight Season
Ohtani tops MLB jersey sales for a third straight season

SEATTLE, WA—As the 2025 Major League Baseball regular season approaches its end with teams playing their final series over the weekend, the league revealed its annual top jersey sales, with two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani leading for the third consecutive season.
The Dodgers’ two-way superstar and NL MVP frontrunner is now the fourth player to wear the most popular jersey for three consecutive years, joining teammate Mookie Betts (2020-22), Yankees slugger Aaron Judge (2017-19), and Hall of Famer Derek Jeter (2010-12).
Ohtani’s popularity is well-known, as he is both the most marketable player in the U.S. and internationally, and he plays for the globally recognized Los Angeles Dodgers.
Ohtani is poised to secure his fourth Most Valuable Player award after matching his career-high of fifty-four home runs and leading the National League with 144 runs, a .619 slugging percentage, and an OPS of 1.010.
Alongside Ohtani, the Dodgers, who are World Series champions, have a strong showing in the most popular jerseys. Slugger Freddie Freeman (No. 3) and Betts (No. 4) contribute to the Top 5 rankings, ahead of Mets star Francisco Lindor (No. 5). Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw, set to retire after this season, ranks at No. 12.
