Spring is right around the corner, which means America’s pastime is alive and well. With the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs set to kick off the 2025 regular season, it also means the annual release of MLB The Show is upon us.

The latest version of the game, MLB The Show 25, which features the young trio of Paul Skenes, Gunnar Henderson, and Elly De La Cruz on the cover, was released Tuesday, March 18th. However, if you pre-order the game, you’ll be granted early access tomorrow, March 14th.

With the Dodgers being arguably the best team in Major League Baseball on a roster filled with perennial all-stars and Most Valuable Players, they led all teams with six members of the elite “Diamond Club,” which are players that have an in-game rating of eight-five or higher.

This year, that list includes two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani (99), shortstop Mookie Betts (95), left-handed starting pitcher Blake Snell (92), right-handed starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow (91), 2024 World Series MVP first baseman Freddie Freeman (90), and catcher Will Smith (85).

Over the last several years, San Diego Studios, the game developer, and Topps have awarded players with a plaque and a 1-of-1 card on their in-game recognition, which was no different this spring.

This is the second major Los Angeles Dodgers gaming news item over the past three weeks. Earlier, it was announced that Shohei Ohtani would be added to the free-to-play shooter Fortnite on March 17th.
