Dodgers News: Teoscar Hernández Activated Off IL, James Outman Optioned

LOS ANGELES—Prior to tonight’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Los Angeles Dodgers announced that they have activated 2024 National League All-Star Teoscar Hernández from the 10-day injured list.
To make room on the 26-man roster, the Dodgers optioned outfielder James Outman to Triple-A OKC.
Hernández, 32, has missed the last several weeks due to a left groin strain but is due back much earlier than what the Dodgers or manager Dave Roberts initially projected.
Hernández was off to a hot start this season, slashing .315/.333/.600 with a .933 OPS, ten doubles, nine home runs, and leading the league with thirty-four RBIs this season. His bat will be a much-needed addition as the team prepares for another massive showdown with the Diamondbacks.
Over the weekend, Hernández appeared in one minor league game for the Single-A Rancho Quakes, getting only one at-bat due to the rainy weather.
Outman will head back to Triple-A, where he was unable to make the most of his opportunity. He hit .125/.222/.375 with a sub .600 OPS, two home runs, four RBIs, and an alarming 48.1% K%.
