Dodgers News: Terrance Gore, Ex-Dodgers Speedster, Dies at 34
The former Dodgers outfielder, renowned for his game-changing speed, is mourned across Major League Baseball.

LOS ANGELES, CA—Yesterday, the baseball community came together to honor the late speedy outfielder Terrance Gore, who suddenly passed away at the age of 34.
Gore is survived by his wife, Britney, and three children. He died following a routine surgical procedure on Friday, according to a social media post by Brittney.
The speedster was initially drafted by the Royals in the 2011 MLB Draft from Gulf Coast State College. Gore made his Major League debut in 2014 and remained with Kansas City until 2017, helping the team secure his first of three World Series titles in 2015.
Gore previously played for the Chicago Cubs before rejoining the Royals in 2019. During that season, he was traded to the New York Yankees and spent the remainder of the year in the minors.
The Georgia native joined the Dodgers in 2020 through a Minor League deal and made the Opening Day roster during the COVID-19 pandemic. Gore played only two regular-season games for the Dodgers that year before being designated for assignment.
After clearing waivers, Gore accepted an outright assignment and made the Dodgers’ Wild Card roster against Milwaukee. He didn’t appear in later rounds, but still earned a World Series ring as L.A. captured the title.
Following his departure from the Dodgers, Gore secured his third World Series title with the Atlanta Braves in 2021. His final appearance in the major leagues was with the New York Mets in 2022.
