Dodgers News: Tyler Glasnow Activated, Alexis Díaz Optioned, Kopech Transferred to 60-day IL
The Dodgers have activated RHP Tyler Glasnow off the 60-day IL

MILWAUKEE, WI— The Los Angeles Dodgers have activated right-handed pitcher Tyler Glasnow off the 60-day injured list for today’s series finale against the Milwaukee Brewers.
To make room on the roster, the Dodgers transferred right-handed pitcher Michael Kopech to the 60-day injured list and optioned right-handed relief pitcher Alexis Díaz to Triple-A OKC.
Glasnow, 31, will make his first start for Los Angeles since April 28th after missing the last two months with right shoulder inflammation.
The right-hander competed three minor league rehab starts before joining the Dodgers starting rotation posting a 8.31 ERA in 8.2 innings. However, it was his final game with the OKC Comets that was his best.
On Thursday, July 3rd, on the eve of Independence Day, Glasnow tossed 4.1 innings, punching out eight batters and the lone blip being a hanging slider that was clobbered for a three-run home run.
Still, the important takeaway is that Glasnow was healthy and showcased his signature velocity, averaging 98 mph on his fastball and incorporating all his pitches.
The return of Glasnow will solidify a Dodgers rotation that has been beaten with injuries this season. Although, over recent weeks, the rotation has looked as intended with the return of Clayton Kershaw, Emmet Sheehan, and Shohei Ohtani.
Glasnow will toe the rubber, hoping to escape Milwaukee with a win after the Dodgers have dropped the first two games of this three-game series.
Kopech was placed on the 15-day injured list with knee inflammation earlier this month in what was supposed to be a short stint. However, that appears to have changed.
Díaz was recalled by Los Angeles yesterday but was not used in relief. The former ‘23 All-Star was acquired by the Dodgers in May via trade with the Cincinnati Reds but posted an ERA over nine with the OKC Comets.
