Dodgers News: Tyler Glasnow Available in Bullpen for Game One

PHILADELPHIA, PA—While the Los Angeles Dodgers prepare for Game One of the 2025 National League Division Series tomorrow against the Philadelphia Phillies, they’ll be led by two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani, who is slated to kick off the game on the mound.
While Ohtani is built up to six innings at about ninety pitches, the team has already put in plans to bridge the game from Ohtani to the ninth inning with an unorthodox approach.
Due to the Dodgers’ overwhelming number of arms, they have the luxury of shifting some of their starters to the bullpen, a necessary plan given the bullpen’s recent struggles for most of the second half of the season.
Similar to the Wild Card Series, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts announced that Tyler Glasnow would be available in the bullpen for Game One of the NLDS after Ohtani’s outing.
Roberts mentioned that Glasnow will be available as a reliever for Game One, likely for a brief appearance to replace a between-starts bullpen session. This setup could still enable Glasnow to start a possible Game Four of the NLDS at Dodger Stadium.
It remains to be seen whether the Dodgers will need Glasnow, as they have plenty of pitchers in the ‘pen capable of going multiple innings, like Emmet Sheehan and Justin Wrobleski.
Glasnow has yet to appear in a game since Game 161 of the regular season, an outing that was last Saturday in Seattle.
