Dodgers News: Yoshinobu Yamamoto Pursuing First Steps in Recovery

Dodgers ace Yoshinobu Yamamoto is finally making the rounds in beginning his recovery process. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said on Thursday that Yamamoto has been working out with a plyo ball and could possibly resume throwing by “late next week” according to Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic.

Yamamoto was originally placed on the IL with a right rotator cuff strain on June 15 against the Kansas City Royals. He only pitched two innings before being taken out and the velocity was noticeably down. Luckily, the Dodgers caught the strain early and have been cautious in treating Yamamoto.

Yamamoto was described as being pain-free earlier this week and it is most likely that the Dodgers will activate Yamamoto post all-star break.
